Drag Racing

Volkswagen Drag Racing is alive and well in California. We race on an 1/8th mile track and have multiple classes for you to choose from. Whether you're looking to get serious and compete in a Pro Class, or just want to take your VW down the strip to see what it can do, we have something for everyone. Join us for BUG-IN this Fall at the Famoso Drag Strip in Bakersfield California. 

Racing Classes

Sportsman​

This is a Trophy Bracket class open to any Air Cooled or Water Cooled Volkswagen. There is no Cash payout for this class, but the winner and runner-up will receive trophies.

Powder Puff​

This is a bracket class for the ladies. Open to any air cooled Volkswagen, winners receive a cash purse and trophies.

Real StreeT​

This is a Heads up "Street Car" racing class. All cars must run 91 pump gas and participate in a 20 mile drive before the event. Winners receive a cash purse and trophies.

Class entry $50 + Tech Card 

Pro Eliminator​

This is a qualified bracket for cars running 9.0 or faster.

Winners receive a cash purse and trophies

Pro Outlaw

This is a Heads Up Racing Class. Rules and weights apply to participate. Winners receive a cash purse and trophies

Class entry $100 + Tech Card 

PRo Mod

This is a Heads Up Unlimited Racing Class. Winners receive a cash purse and trophies
