The Drag Day is an event held twice a year in Southern California. Since we brought this event back just over 6 years ago, it has been a tremendous success. Geared more toward the motor head VW Junkie, the HOT VWs Drag day has much to offer for every kind of VW Enthusiast. Of course there is the action packed 1/8th mile drag racing that takes place, which on some days can attract over 200+ racers at any given event. Although there is no "car show" at this event, we do offer a preferred parking area for any VW right in the middle of the action at no extra charge to you. The Drag Day also offers a huge Swap Meet, at no extra charge to vendors, that seems to keep getting larger and larger as each year passes. Overall the Drag Day is a fun event no matter what you like about Volkswagens. Whether you're into racing or want to catch a good deal in the Swap Meet, the Drag Day has everything to offer.

Vendor spaces at the Hot VWs Drag Day are for Companies selling new and used Merchandise. Each spot is aprox 15’x20’ and will include 4 Spectator Admission tickets. Any additional tickets can be purchased at the front gate for $15 each. All vendors will be let in between 6am and 7am to be given time to set-up their Display.

**All class winners will be eligible for the three rounds of eliminations to be run immediately after the last class final round.**

Classes of Competition

1. “Q”   Quick 16  Sponsored by A1 Muffler, this is a qualified bracket, an additional $50 entry is required.

2. “T1”  Air-cooled Trophy Bracket  8.58 and Quicker

3. “T2”   Air-cooled Trophy Bracket  8.59 - 9.99 

4. “T3”  Air-cooled Trophy Bracket  10.00 and Slower   

5. “T4”  Water-cooled Trophy Bracket  - Open to all water cooled VWs $500 purse

6. “T5”   VW Bus Trophy Bracket - Open to any VW bus, vanagon or eurovan

7. “T6”   Thirty-Six Horse Trophy Bracket -All the participants in this special bracket must have an engine based on the 36hp case. Wolfsburg West has posted $500 to the first car to win using their new “Okrasa-Style” kit.

8. "PP"   Powder Puff - Open to all the ladies 

9. “O/T”  Outlaw Turbo Organized by Marty Staggs, Heads Up Racing for Cash Awards

10. “S/S”   Super Stock Organized by Doug Gonzales, Head Up "Street Car/All Motor" Racing for Cash Awards
